The mixed fights are always divisive because it’s impossible to serve all audiences, between those (like myself) who are ambivalent about the mixed fights, those who prefer that the women triumph, and those that prefer the men dominate, it’s unlikely to ever satisfy the readership fully across all boards. I will argue that the BWL started out as a F/F site, and that the women are the main protagonists and selling point of the site, which mostly presents the female narrative, and mostly focuses on female power fantasy (though obviously in service of the male gaze), and the attraction of strong women. That the men lose quite often reflects the interests of the creators and the themes inherent in the site since it’s inception. That is my take.
Still, I enjoyed this match. I am biased, of course, because France is among my favorite characters, but the writer gave it a nice texture, and the characters voices came through clearly, and it was a very simple and straight forward fight with no drama or sexual overtures…just a purely physical competition. Graphically, I continue to appreciate the newfound attention to detail that the recent change in style has allowed, particularly in how the breasts are deformed, images 10 and 16 being a good example as Brad’s fist sinks into France’s breast, selling the force of the blow in how deeply it impacts.
Thematically this also fights with France, as an attack on her breasts is an attack on her pride, given that so much of her identity is thrust out in front of her. France’s breasts are her main identifier and make her unique even among the zaftig girls of the BWL because, with the exception of Megan, she is the biggest even among other Titans.
This was a solid episode that I enjoyed! Good work.

I go along with that …no problem… it’s not who wins that bothers me … though ok .. for obvious reasons I don’t rate the girls as you guys do and yes… I’d like the guys to win a little more… but I enjoy Entropy’s skill too…I wouldnt be here if I didn”t… … but all that …all of it …. every teeny bit … would be soooo much better if the guys were not such duds…I do soooo wish they could win a bit more often… to give the girls a bigger challenge… OK OK …Yes it’s Entropyland and I always respect that… I know he has to cater for all sorts…but even with the same win-lose rate …. how much better if the guys showed some more new skills too… give the girls a surprise or two… remember boys …it doesn’t pay to let us get too confident… if we once have you beaten in your head ….!!
Well, get ready for more of the same because these dudes are duds.

….win or lose for the guys … a girl can go with that…. but what I can’t get is where’s the fun for girls if the guys show no skill….. where’s the glory for the league’s girls ? ….when guys choose a kick boxing match …. and never even try to kick… just stand there punching a girl’s boobs ….knowing she has to kick to get you…. knowing she can…. knowing she will….how has Brad become such a useless lump?… and Don…. and Paul… and Eduardo …all competing for the biggest flop of the great 500th. If France can up her boxing skill…. why can’t the guys up their skills … …….instead of losing them !
……oooooh! ….maybe the great 500 is telling us something…… wasn’t Olivier the best guy…. no longer in the league… and the best girl …. came out of retirement… perhaps it wasn’t just a verrry good storytelling….. could it have been a wake-up call….?

I usually prefer the blokes winning, but watching France’s calculated strategy was pretty entertaining.
